LISA LOCO/LOCO RITES
Since graduating university with a B.Sc. 2:1 honours degree, Lisa has pursued several professional prospects… However, as it turns out the science degree provided a most solid foundation to what followed, as Loco redefined a lifelong devotion to art!
During the late 1990s, Lisa worked for a local music label, Initiative Records in Leeds, as a designer and publicist, while The Faversham nightclub and other independents employed her as a graphic artist. Loco later entered the world of publishing as a journalist for an international satellite, digital and cable magazine, Satellite Times, interviewing eloquent TV talents such as Mark Gatiss of the League Of Gentlemen and Rory McGrath .
A freelance music journalist since 2001, Loco has been published both in and out of her native UK by DJ Times and Itinerant Lifestyle (it) magazines in the US, and Absolute Leeds, Fresh Direction and Flux magazines in the UK; further to various online e-zine's. Loco also worked for a time (as music and clubs editor) for XES magazine, UK…
